Well, we promoted "Sparkle for a Cause" through this past weekend. The jewelry that flew out of that linkcode was exciting on Saturday morning. It was, however, a slow start and an even slower finish. I learned a few things with this fundraising online pop-up event:
1. Carefully plan ahead; Several days ahead. Have them earn that raffle code before the event even starts.
2. Selectively choose participants and contact them directly.
3. Do a jewelry sale pop-up event that lasts for only a few hours.
4. Create excitement! Plan posts ahead of time and keep the hype up throughout the duration of the event.
5. Request that participants let you know if they placed an order to verify that they used the right code.
6. Follow up! See if they want to further accentuate their selections with matching pieces AND personally thank them for their purchases.
I definitely will do it again. We raised several hundred dollars for Kirsten and about $200 in free jewelry. She was very grateful but I, being me, think I could have done better. I am grateful that she allowed the opportunity to learn. I think I'd say that my first online event for Chloe and Isabel by Niccole was a success!!
I will send her the raised funds on November 5th when the commissions come in.

Sparkle for a Cause, Honoring my friend, Kirsten

Last night I threw together my display in just a few minutes. I think it looks beautiful! I realize that this is not going to be very difficult to keep up with. I've decided to keep my display up so that I can have private showings by appointment. That is the glory of working from home!
I don't have little kiddos running around. My schedule is pretty much wide open. And I have the most supportive fiance in the whole wide world. We are currently living in a loft apartment in a nice warehouse building with lots of parking and privacy.
If any of you would like to host a pop-up to earn some free jewels, please let me know! Instead of having to cart my display around to different locations, we will allow you to do it here. Announcing my in-home Chloe + Isabel party!
Car selfie! I love this trio so I couldn't resist! Today is October 10th and I have finally decided on the Chloe and Isabel party at my house. It will be on Thursday, October 29th followed by an online party the following 3 days. I think this will give me plenty of time to order more jewelry, contact my mentor for advice, and handle all the challenges that are going on with family. I could put things on hold for months and might not get anywhere so we are breaking out the schedule and flying by the seats of our pants. Wish me luck!
